Students at the University of Lomé and it's satellite campus in Kara say they are upset after a 20,000 CFA ($40 USD) grant was withheld from some students when the qualification regulations changed. Both campus', which host about 60,000 students, have been temporarily closed by the government in the aftermath of the demonstrations. High-school students (images 7-9) are also upset over the fact that their teachers are striking. The government-paid teachers have not been paid, and went on strike in December.
